Announcing the 2016 Looksharp Blog Competition

Landing your dream internship is never easy. As we approach the critical spring hiring season, Looksharp is hosting a blog competition to help share your internship story with your peers. Every internship is different and we want to let students know which stand out and how to succeed throughout the process.

Entering yourself in the competition is easy and  the winner will recieve $500 cash!

Follow these three steps to enter:

  1. Write a blog post about a recent internship experience (250-500 words). The post should be story driven and should share lessons learned while searching for that position or while working at that internship. Some examples of good blog posts might include: “10 Things I learned Interning at XYZ Company,” “Why Interning at a Small Non-Profit is the Best way to Launch Your Career,” or “How Networking with my Professors Helped Me Land My Dream Job.”  Any and all experiences are welcome!
  1. Get the blog posted on your career center or department website so other students from your school can learn from your experience. (Not sure how to do this? Typically you can email your career center and ask if they have a place online where you can submit a story about a recent internship).
  1. Finalize your submission by adding the blurb below to the bottom of your post and submitting the link to your published blog using this form.

Use this blurb at the bottom of your post!

This post is part of the Looksharp Internship Blog Competition. To read more about the competition and view other posts go here.

All posts must be submitted on or before January 17th . We can’t wait to hear about your internship experiences and encourage you to check out your fellow interns’ experiences as well. Feel free to reach out to us with more questions at

Yeah! I did too — as long as you get it posted to your university’s site as well.
