What She Says at 9:26 Will Change Your Perception of Failure

In her commencement speech at Harvard in 2008, J.K. Rowling famously said that rock bottom was the solid foundation on which she rebuilt her life. Rowling’s “rock bottom” occurred in 1990 when her mother died, her marriage ended, and she was living on state welfare with her young daughter in England.

“What I feared most for myself at your age was not poverty, but failure” she told the Harvard graduates.
