Of course, you don’t necessarily have to be a social worker to have a social work job. Some professionals, for example, actually teach social work related subjects at the high school, college, or university level. These individuals take home an average salary of around $70,430 per year and may work at community colleges in addition to traditional colleges or universities. To teach at the high school level, you generally need at least an undergraduate degree in the field, and for higher-level teaching jobs, a master’s degree is usually necessary to obtain part-time or adjunct positions. Aside from teaching, there are many different types and categories of social workers, making it easy to find a position that is perfectly suited to you.
